夜, 15 Oct 2016 - κάθαρσις

ライブハウスで2年ぶりに会った人がいる。
「久しぶりだね。」「今どこかで弾いてる？」
「それどころじゃねえよ。」と彼は言う。
顔を見なかった2年間に、彼はバンドを辞め、仕事も変わり、そして、奥さんが病気でほとんど死ぬところだったのだという。
彼は酔った勢いかもしれないが、「俺のせいだ。」と言う。
そうなのか……と思いつつ、「そんなふうに考えちゃいけない。」と私が言う。
幸いにも快復されたそうだが…。
「あいつが死んだら俺も死のうかと思ったんだよ。」
もうその言葉を聞いたら、女は、どんなつらかったこともすべて、ゆるしてしまおうと思うのかもしれない。
はやく家にお帰り。酔いつぶれる前に。
